Color Theory

1. The story in my animation is Santa Claus finding an elf who escaped from his miserable life as a slave in the toy workshop. After kicking out the window, Santa jumps through and chases the elf, throwing an object at him with his psychic powers before kicking him to the wall. After that, Santa uses his powers to lift the elf Darth Vader style, keeping him in a levitating chokehold before dropping him. After all, Santa knows when his elves run. He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake. 2. I want the audience to be relaxed at first as the elf writes a letter, then startled as Santa breaks into the house. I'd like them to grip the edges of their seats as Santa launches his attacks, then brought to horror as the elf struggles. I can start by using an analogous color scheme with blues and greens in order to establish a sense of peace over the whole scene as the elf writes. Robot Arm Animation Critique Response

Comments I received on the animation:  I received several comments on the general atmosphere or 'feel' of the setting I created in my animation. I also received comments on the 'floaty' keyframing of the camera. Furthermore, I received comments on the repetition of shapes (circles, lines & squares) utilized in my animation. A fair amount of people remarked that the setting felt as a ship in outer space would, rather than the empty office building I was attempting to portray. There were also multiple remarks about the storyline that somewhat diverged from what I was actually trying to depict. What I feel I did best: I feel as if I did well with the color scheme; the blues and grays used in the room and on 0R10N contrasted the redness of the Ominous Floating Cubes. I also think I did a better job with the storyline as opposed to last animation. The camerawork also seemed better, though still not great. What my classmates said I did well: My classmates said...
